I just sent those files to you via wetransfer.
So far we are quite happy with the denoise on still image from altus, but when we got animation result, we found following issues,
At the same sample rate in Octane:
1: many detail (texture detail mainly) lost compare with other denoise tool we are using.
2: very weird waved edge on alpha channel
3: Moire banding
there are 4 AOV passes in the process: beauty, albedo, position and normal
I can send you email with those animation clips if I could have the address to send to.
we are testing Altus on a 360 VR images for Gear VR.
The image is large: 18432 x 1536
It's a Cube Map vr camera from Ocatne, not side by side.
All pass's together is about 1.6G.
After we hit "RUN" in Altus, we got the following info below:
Hi there, we just ran into some issue during test, the white hot pixels turned into blocks, it was black blocks in 32bits, after I changed file into 16bits in photoshop then it turned into white blocks.
here is the sample: left is raw render from octane in 16bits mode, right is denoised in 16bits mode.
